Cannot Connect Using SSL?
If get a message saying “Cannot Connect Using SSL. Do you want to try setting up the account without SSL?”, you can opt to say YES.

If you prefer to connect with the SSL active, check that the SSL port settings are correct:-
If SSL is active use port number – 993
Non-active SSL –  143
TLS – 143

It should then connect to the mail server and the account will be setup.

SMTP uses ports 25 or 587
Some ISPs will block port 25, so if you are having problems with sending mail, you may need to change the port for the SMTP server.
You can do this by going to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > Select the mail account > SMTP > Primary Server > Server Port and changing this to 587.

*Multiple ‘From’ email addresses
(POP3 and IMAP accounts, not Gmail or Hotmail)
You may wish to have several addresses that you send email from, say, a personal address (fred@myshop.co.uk) and  general enquires address (info@myshop.co.uk).
You can set these up in one mail account.
In the line “address” just add each email address, separated by a comma
ie.  fred@myshop.co.uk,  info@myshop.co.uk
Choosing which From address
When you create a new email or reply, clicking on the From field will display a list which you can choose from.
